My poor little Bryn had her third & hopefully LAST surgery, for her kidney's today.
A little background...We found out when I was pregnant w/ our sweet little girl, that she had some problems w/ her right kidney. She had her first surgery when she was 8 months old. They re-shaped her right kidney to look similar to a funnel shape. The purpose of re-shaping was to help it to drain faster. Almost exactly a year later was her second surgery. Her kidney's were still not draining as fast as it should, so they placed a stint inside her urethra to help stretch the opening. It has been 5 months since that surgery & today was the removal of that stint. We have some more tests in 8 weeks, to find out if the stint worked! Hopefully, it did & we don't have to make any more visits to Primary Children's Hospital. We love our sweet little girl & really hope this was the last time that we have to put her through this.
